Environmental Policy

European Bike Tours provides holidays which are as environmentally friendly as possible.

Cycling does not harm the environment. However, our business does include factors which can potentially harm nature and the environment. All European Bike Tours staff members have been made aware of this, and we have instigated a policy to control the negative effects of our business wherever possible by . . .

•Separating and recycling waste. This is already a common practices at our office but can always be improved upon;

•Cutting down on electricity use by installing energy saving lightbulbs and improving insulation in our office building;

•Limiting the use of paper;

•Taking environmental aspects into account when planning our tours, especially in terms of transport, accommodation and activities en route;

•Adhering to the principles, resolutions and rules of conduct for sustainable tourism established by our organisation, the European Biketours group;

•Providing our holiday goers with information and tips on how to help care for the environment while on tour;

•Communicating our commitment to caring for the environment to clients, staff, suppliers and agents through our website, newsletter, route notes and other channels.

It is in everyone’s best interest, not least in our company’s, to ensure a bright future for fascinating bike holidays in a clean natural environment.
